About

hey Beloved, I’m Verse.

Yes, you read that right. I am a Poet, and that’s actually my name.

Verse is short for VersAnnette. a name gifted to me in the soulful summer of 1976, born of Versie and Annette Blackman. Creativity runs through my bloodline. So does resilience. I am the legacy and the living proof.

These days, I move through the world as an Artist, a Healer, a Spiritual Alchemist. A Conscious Creative. I’ve worn many titles, but the truth is: my intention remains the same. I am here to midwife transformation. Whether it’s with meditation, painting, poeming, or just making you laugh…I’m here to encourage you. To remind you — and myself — of the sacredness in our becoming.

For many years, I operated from my Wounded Healer self — offering light while secretly burning out, mistaking overgiving for love, and chasing healing for others that I hadn’t fully claimed for myself. I carried the weight of survival like a badge. But survival is not the whole story. Not anymore.

Through deep inner work, heartbreak, spiritual study, and ancestral reclamation, I have returned to myself again and again. And each time, I arrive clearer. Softer. Stronger. More whole.

Soul Revival Wellness was born from this return — a digital sanctuary for healing, creativity, and radical remembrance. It’s a space where poetry becomes prayer, where meditations meet the moment, where art becomes medicine. Here, I offer the tools, teachings, and transmissions I’ve gathered from my own becoming: workshops, healing circles, soul care rituals, and spiritual guidance — all rooted in the knowing that soul-tending isn’t optional if we are to experience the truth of aliveness. If we want to be well, this is the work.

But, Beloved —let’s not romanticize this.
Healing is holy — but it hurts like hell. It ain’t easy. But with some love and gentle guidance, I can share what I’ve learned, and how to alchemize it into something beautiful.

I’m not here to fix you.
I’m here to hold space as you remember yourself.

You are the altar.
You are the offering.
You are already enough.

Welcome home, Beloved.
